Product Overview
Foundation for Immersive Mixing
The Image 212S is engineered to solve the most difficult low-frequency challenges in modern studios. By utilizing a sealed cabinet and force-canceling driver array, it provides a tighter, more articulate transient response compared to traditional ported subwoofers. This makes it an ideal match for the Fluid Audio Image 2 or any high-end monitoring system requiring a seamless transition between the mains and the LFE channel.
Product Description
Force-Canceling Dual 12" Array:
The Fluid Audio Image 212S employs two side-firing 12-inch drivers mounted in a dual-opposed configuration. These drivers are mechanically braced together using Vi-bracer™ technology, which ensures that the kinetic energy of the moving cones cancels out within the cabinet. This design eliminates cabinet resonance and sympathetic vibrations, ensuring that the only thing you hear is pure, undistorted bass.
Massive Power and Precision Control:
Equipped with dual 500W Class-D amplifiers (1000W RMS / 2000W Peak), the Image 212S offers immense headroom for the most demanding transients. The rear panel provides comprehensive tools for room integration, including a variable crossover (40Hz – 200Hz) and variable phase control (0° – 180°). This level of adjustment allows for perfect time-alignment and phase coherence with your main monitors, regardless of room size.
Pro-Grade Connectivity for Any Setup:
Built to fit into the most advanced signal chains, the Image 212S features both Analog (XLR/TRS) and Digital (AES/EBU) inputs and outputs. It includes a dedicated balanced LFE channel for immersive formats like Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality Audio. The inclusion of digital I/O allows for a completely digital signal path from your interface to the subwoofer, preventing unnecessary D/A and A/D conversion stages.
