Product Overview

The art of the JCM800 2203 is its absolute simplicity. As one of the most respected and used amplifiers in the history of rock, this 100W powerhouse continues to be a cornerstone of Marshall’s legacy. Oozing rock status, its distinctive roar is instantly recognizable on countless hit records. Designed, engineered, and built in the UK, the 2203 Vintage Reissue is the definitive choice for players who demand the raw, aggressive, and honest tone that only an all-valve Marshall can provide.

Product Description

  • The Industry Standard: The JCM800 2203 was one of the first Marshall amps to feature a Master Volume control. This allowed guitarists to achieve heavy preamp distortion without needing to reach deafening stage volumes, a feature that helped define the sound of heavy metal and hard rock in the 1980s.

  • Single Channel Simplicity: This amp is built for the purist. With its single-channel design, the 2203 responds incredibly well to your guitar's volume knob and your playing dynamics. It’s a "plug-in-and-play" beast that offers a pure, unadulterated valve signal path.

  • Legendary Roar: Powered by four EL34 power amp valves and three ECC83 preamp valves, the 2203 produces a massive 100W of output. It delivers a punchy mid-range, tight lows, and a "bark" that cuts through even the loudest drum kits.

  • Modern Versatility: While it stays faithful to the original vintage specs, this reissue features a series FX loop with a true bypass switch. This allows you to add modern delays and reverbs to your signal chain while keeping the legendary tone untouched when the loop is not in use.

  • Dual Sensitivity Inputs: Featuring High and Low sensitivity inputs, the amp can be tailored to handle anything from high-output active pickups to vintage single coils, allowing for everything from clean textures to high-gain crunch.

Key Features

  • Built in the UK Factory: Hand-manufactured in Bletchley, England, ensuring the highest standards of valve amp construction.

  • Master Volume & Preamp Volume: Total control over your gain stages, allowing for saturated distortion at manageable levels.

  • Versatile EQ: A highly responsive 3-band EQ plus Presence control to sculpt your signature sound.

  • Switchable Impedance: Dual speaker outputs with selectable 4Ω, 8Ω, or 16Ω loads to match any professional cabinet setup.
