Centralized Control for Multi-Subwoofer Arrays
In advanced monitoring environments—such as immersive 7.1.4 or high-output stereo systems—using multiple subwoofers is common to achieve even bass distribution and higher SPL. However, keeping these units synchronized is a challenge. The SEA 1 acts as a "bridge," distributing control signals from a single remote to the entire subwoofer chain. This ensures that when you adjust the system volume or bypass bass management on your remote, every subwoofer in the room responds instantly and identically.
Reliable Signal Distribution:
The SEA 1 features four professional-grade Neutrik EtherCon RJ45 sockets. One socket serves as the input for the NRC 1 remote or RS-232 controller, while the remaining three act as outputs to your subwoofers. For systems requiring more than three subwoofers, multiple SEA 1 adapters can be daisy-chained to support up to nine subwoofers in a single control network.
Built for the Professional Studio:
Housed in a compact and rugged chassis made from high-grade ABS plastic and aluminum, the SEA 1 is built to last. Its small footprint (approx. 3" x 3") allows it to be easily tucked away behind equipment racks or under studio furniture. The use of locking EtherCon connectors ensures that critical control data lines remain secure, preventing accidental disconnections during a session.

While optimized for Neumann's RC CAT-5 cables, the SEA 1 is fully compatible with standard, high-quality CAT-5 (or better) network cables. This flexibility allows studio owners to easily integrate the adapter into existing infrastructure. It is the ideal companion for the KH 810, KH 870, and KH 805 active studio subwoofers.
