Answering Rising Demands for 7.1 and 3D Productions
The KH 810 is the definitive answer for modern studios requiring flexible interconnectivity. The bypassable 7.1 bass manager is compatible with all standard consumer formats, from mono to the latest HD systems. With eight channels of analog I/O, four-mode LFE processing, and fourth-order crossovers, it ensures seamless system integration. Whether you are working in music, broadcast, or post-production, the KH 810 offers the sound level reserves and surgical accuracy needed for tracking, mixing, and mastering in complex multi-channel environments.
Acoustical Excellence & Lateral Consistency:
The KH 810 utilizes a rock-solid cabinet and carefully designed ports to guarantee a tight, articulate, and distortion-free low-frequency reproduction. By using the specialized Sum Output, engineers can construct a Plane Wave Bass Array™ (PWBA™), which acoustically improves lateral consistency across the entire listening area. The result is a more uniform bass response that is less dependent on the listener's exact position in the room.
High-Precision Driver Technology:
The heart of the KH 810 is an in-house modeled long-throw composite sandwich cone bass driver. It features Extremely Linear Force Factor™ (ELFF™) technology and a flow-optimized die-cast basket. This linear pistonic motor ensures very low harmonic distortion even at high excursions. To protect the investment, a robust built-in grille prevents mechanical damage to the driver.
Advanced 7.1 Bass Management:
The integrated bass manager is bypassable and features a 4th-order 80 Hz active crossover. This offloads the low-frequency duties from the main loudspeakers, allowing them to play up to 8 dB louder with significantly reduced intermodulation distortion. The system includes four routing modes:
LFE to Subwoofer and Left/Right
LFE to Subwoofer only (up to 80 Hz)
LFE to Subwoofer only (up to 120 Hz)
LFE to Subwoofer with no filtering (for daisy-chaining and external processing).
Flexible Installation & Remote Control:
The KH 810 is designed for professional convenience. It supports NRC 1 and SEA 1 hardware remote controls and can be integrated into RS-232 control systems. For specialized installations, the electronics can be remotely located using the REK 3 kit to reduce cabling and heat in the mixing area. The front-mounted ports allow the cabinet to be positioned next to a wall or even flush-mounted without losing acoustic performance.
