Product Overview
Tactile Control for Your Monitoring System
The Neumann NRC 1 brings essential monitor management functions to your fingertips. In professional mixing and mastering environments, especially those utilizing 7.1 High Definition Bass Management™, having immediate access to volume and system status is crucial. The NRC 1 allows you to adjust the output level of the entire system—including all connected loudspeakers and subwoofers—with a high-resolution rotary encoder, providing a smooth and reliable response.
Product Description
Integrated System Management:
The NRC 1 is more than just a volume knob. It provides dedicated switching for two critical workflow functions:
Bass Management Bypass: Instantly enable or disable the subwoofer's crossover to check how your mix translates with and without sub-frequency reinforcement.
LFE Gain Control: Quickly toggle the LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) channel gain between 0 dB and +10 dB to ensure compliance with cinema and broadcast standards.
Built for the Studio Environment:
Housed in a durable ABS casing with a professional matte black finish, the NRC 1 is built to withstand the rigors of daily studio use. Its compact footprint fits easily on any console or desktop. The remote features a clear visual display, including a white illuminated Neumann logo, to show the status of the LFE gain and Bass Management at a glance.
Connectivity & Installation:
The unit connects to the monitoring system via a standard RJ45 Neutrik EtherCon socket. This ensures a secure, locking connection that is essential in professional rack and studio cabling setups. While a standard CAT-5 (or better) cable is required for operation, the NRC 1 integrates seamlessly into the Neumann ecosystem, allowing for centralized control of multiple subwoofers when used with a Neumann SEA 1 Adapter.
