Utilizing Low Resonance Integral Molding™ (LRIM™) materials, the cabinet is mathematically modeled to eliminate standing wave resonances and minimize intermodulation distortion. Its high-precision Mathematically Modeled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide provides a wide horizontal sweet spot with a narrower vertical dispersion, effectively reducing unwanted reflections from mixing consoles and desks. This ensures that even in complex acoustical environments, the sound remains clear, localized, and true to the source.

Unlike many midfield monitors that require an external subwoofer, the KH 420 G delivers full-range performance with an exceptional low-frequency extension down to 26 Hz. The 10-inch long-throw woofer features Extremely Linear Force Factor™ (ELFF™) technology and flow-optimized die-cast baskets. This allows for high-output bass without "overhang" or audible port resonance, ensuring fast transient response and precise control over the low-end.

Surgical Midrange and Treble Accuracy:

The dedicated 3-inch fabric dome midrange driver is the secret to the KH 420’s legendary vocal reproduction. By handling the critical frequency bands with an ultralight material and a powerful neodymium magnet, it captures the subtlest nuances of speech and instruments with significantly less distortion than traditional cone drivers. The 1-inch alloy fabric dome tweeter completes the picture, providing high-resolution, distortion-free treble reproduction protected by a robust metal grille.

Tri-Amplified Class AB Power:

The KH 420 G is powered by three independent Class AB amplifiers (295W LF / 130W MF / 130W HF) designed with large headroom and integrated Accelerated Heat Tunneling (AHT) heat sinks. This "Tower of Power" configuration uses a dual power supply setup—one dedicated to the woofer and another for the mid/high section—to improve transient response and system reliability. Separate fast-acting thermo limiters protect each voice coil, allowing you to push the system to its performance limits safely.

Versatile Acoustical Controls:

To ensure a perfect fit in any control room, the KH 420 G is equipped with comprehensive acoustical controls. It features 4-position Bass, Low-Mid, and Treble switches, along with a fully parametric equalizer for fine-tuning specific room modes. Whether free-standing or flush-mounted into a wall, these controls allow the monitor to adapt to diverse acoustic conditions while maintaining a neutral "Neumann" sound profile.
