Product Overview
The KH 150 AES67 (509132) is designed for those who demand "one size bigger" performance in a nearfield format. It follows Neumann’s philosophy of absolute neutrality: highest linearity, zero coloration, and minimal distortion. The internal DSP not only optimizes the frequency response but also linearizes the phase, resulting in a razor-sharp stereo image and incredible transparency in the time domain. Whether you are producing urban music, EDM, or scoring for film, the KH 150 AES67 provides the low-end authority and surgical detail required for professional mixing and mastering.
Product Description
Serious Bass in a Compact Footprint:
The KH 150 AES67 features a state-of-the-art 6.5" woofer housed in a meticulously engineered 20-liter bass reflex cabinet. This allows the monitor to reach almost as low as the much larger KH 310, providing a tight and articulate low-end that extends to 39 Hz. For many modern genres, this eliminates the immediate need for a subwoofer, though it integrates perfectly with the KH 750 DSP for extended sub-harmonics.
Next-Gen DSP Engine:
The "brain" of the KH 150 is its powerful DSP controller. Unlike traditional analog monitors, the KH 150 AES67 uses digital crossovers to ensure a phase-linear response (105 Hz to 16 kHz). This technical achievement translates to "what you hear is what you get"—reverbs have depth, transients are snappy, and the phantom center is remarkably stable. The DSP also allows the monitor to be manufactured to extremely tight tolerances of ±0.8 dB, ensuring perfect matching between units.
Broadcast-Ready AES67 Networking:
The AES67 variant is specifically built for modern, networked studio infrastructures. It features dual redundant Ethernet ports that are fully compliant with ST 2110-30, ST 2022-7, and RAVENNA. It is also fully compatible with Dante®-generated AES67 streams, allowing it to fit into almost any professional Audio-over-IP (AoIP) environment. This simplifies cabling in large-scale facilities and multi-channel immersive setups.
Mathematically Modeled Dispersion™ (MMD™):
The KH 150 AES67 utilizes Neumann's proprietary MMD™ waveguide for its 1" alloy fabric dome tweeter. This design creates a wide horizontal "sweet spot" while strictly controlling vertical dispersion. This means you have more freedom to move along the console while minimizing the acoustic interference caused by desk reflections, ensuring a consistent sound in varied room types.
