Decreased Distortion & Ultra-Linear Highs:

The standout upgrade in the One18X is the newly developed 1” titanium tweeter. This driver features significantly increased linear excursion capability and ultra-low distortion (often measuring below 0.1% in the high-frequency range). This massive reduction in distortion allows for a much smoother, more transparent high-end that reveals subtle spatial cues and transient details that were previously hidden.

Improved Extension and Crossover Design:

• Extended Bandwidth: While the original model was a standard for nearfield monitoring, the One18X improves the frequency ceiling, now reaching up to 55 kHz. This ensures a more natural roll-off and superior phase response within the audible range.

• Refined Crossover: The newly engineered crossover network enhances overall system resolution and driver integration. By keeping the crossover point at 1600 Hz—away from the ear's most sensitive range—the One18X maintains the "point-source" behavior that Amphion is famous for.

Signature Acoustic Engineering:

• Passive Radiator Technology: Like its predecessor, the One18X uses a rear-mounted passive radiator instead of a port. This eliminates port turbulence and "chuffing," providing a faster, more accurate low-end (down to 45 Hz) and allowing for more flexible placement near walls.

• Corian Waveguide: The CNC-machined high-density Corian waveguide ensures uniform dispersion and perfect time-alignment between the tweeter and the 6.5” aluminum woofer, resulting in an exceptionally wide and deep sweet spot.
