The "Better Classic" Capsule:

At the heart of the Clarion is a custom-designed 28.25mm (35mm housing) dual-diaphragm capsule. This hand-tuned component is designed to offer a sultry vintage timbre while maintaining the transient response required for modern percussion and bass recordings. The dual-diaphragm design ensures precise polar pattern definition across the entire frequency spectrum.

Unique 3-Way Gain Staging:

Unlike standard microphones that only offer an attenuation pad, the Clarion features a versatile three-position gain switch:

• +10dB: Ideal for use with quiet sources (acoustic guitars, soft vocals) or lower-gain consumer interfaces, adding character and reducing preamp noise.

• 0dB: The default, transparent output setting.

• -10dB: Perfect for loud sources like kick drums or brass, or when you want to "push" a high-end preamp for more harmonic saturation.

Premium Component Path:

The internal signal path is hand-populated with high-resolution polypropylene capacitors, a US-made low-noise FET, and a custom-wound output transformer. This combination virtually eliminates low-frequency distortion and ensures that the final output is full, smooth, and brimming with life. The solid brass enclosure is hand-polished and finished with a durable, non-toxic ceramic coating for a lifetime of professional use.
