Unlike traditional side-address condensers that can be fragile, the Tom Mic is built with a solid brass headframe and includes an internal mildew-resistant dust filter to protect the sensitive electronics from the harsh environment of a drum kit.
Onboard Frequency Rebalancing:
To provide a mix-ready sound at the source, the LS-508 is equipped with six independent analog filter settings. These High-Pass and Low-Pass filters allow engineers to rebalance the relationship between the drum's attack and its body, or to further "darken" the signal to eliminate harsh cymbal sizzle before the audio ever reaches the DAW.
