The KVG 130 nx belongs to the elite Neumann Open Series modular system. It serves as a rigid, slim interface that carries the audio signal from the microphone capsule to the output stage (KM A or KM D) located further down. At just 8 mm in diameter, it provides an elegant, "invisible" silhouette on camera. Unlike the longer KVG 1120, the 130 mm version is optimized for shorter-range positioning, such as on podiums, instrument spot-miking, or desktop broadcast setups.

The KVG 130 nx is the key to a truly versatile recording rig. It is compatible with the entire range of KK capsules (including the KK 184 nx cardioid or KK 183 nx omni). By moving the output electronics away from the capsule, you can achieve a "pencil-thin" profile that captures world-class audio without blocking the audience’s view of the performer or speaker.

Integrated Swivel for Precise Aiming:

At the capsule end, the KVG 130 nx features a high-quality integrated swivel joint. This allows the capsule to be angled and oriented through a range of ± 110°. This flexibility is essential for perfectly aligning the microphone’s polar pattern with the sound source while keeping the extension rod neatly vertical or horizontal for the camera.

Pristine Signal Path & Shielding:

Despite its slim 8 mm profile, the KVG 130 nx is engineered with Neumann’s uncompromising standards. The internal wiring is fully shielded to prevent interference from lighting rigs, mobile devices, or other electronic equipment in the studio. This ensures that the fast transient response and low-noise floor of your KM A/D system remain perfectly intact.

Nextel Black "Camera-Ready" Finish:

The "nx" designation indicates the use of Nextel Black coating. This specialized technical finish is deeply matte and non-reflective, ensuring it does not create distracting glares or hot spots under intense stage or television lighting.
