Product Overview
The New Standard for Immersive and Multi-Channel Audio
The KH 810 II is engineered for world-class recording, broadcast, and post-production studios transitioning to immersive formats like Dolby Atmos®. It acts as the intelligent bridge for your monitoring system, offering enough DSP processing power to align not just the subwoofer, but also the connected analog KH line monitors. This ensures that every speaker in your 7.1 or 3D array works in perfect harmony, with a time-aligned and color-neutral response that is essential for critical mixing and mastering decisions.
Product Description
Surgical Precision at Extreme Depths:
The KH 810 II features a newly developed 10" long-throw driver with Extremely Linear Force Factor™ (ELFF™) technology. This engineering allows the driver to maintain a linear pistonic motion even at high excursions, delivering twice the output potential of the smaller KH 750 series. The result is a "dry," punchy bass response that extends down to 16 Hz, providing the "physical" low-end authority required for modern film scores and electronic music.
DSP-Powered Multi-Channel Alignment:
The standout feature of the KH 810 II is its integration with the Neumann MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment. Using the MA 1 software, the subwoofer’s internal DSP can calibrate the entire multi-channel system. It corrects room-induced frequency anomalies and linearizes the phase response across the crossover point, effectively "disappearing" the subwoofer into the room and creating a seamless transition to the main monitors.
High-Definition Bass Management:
Equipped with a flexible, bypassable multichannel bass manager, the KH 810 II is compatible with everything from mono to complex 3D audio systems. It features a 4th-order active crossover and four distinct routing modes:
Multichannel 80 Hz: Standard management for 5.1/7.1 setups.
External Bass Management: For use with dedicated studio controllers.
LFE 120 Hz: For cinema and broadcast standard compliance.
LFE Full Range: For daisy-chaining multiple subwoofers in a Plane Wave Bass Array™ (PWBA™).
Professional Connectivity & Build:
The KH 810 II features electronically balanced XLR analog I/O for eight channels, ensuring standard professional interfacing. It also includes an Ethernet port for central network control via the MA 1 software. The cabinet is constructed from high-density, low-resonance materials and features a front-mounted port for flexible placement—either next to a wall or flush-mounted—without losing acoustic accuracy.
