By operating directly on an IP-based Dante network, this rugged endpoint can be placed exactly where the performer stands—whether that is next to a drum kit, at a broadcast podium, or inside an isolated vocal booth hundreds of feet away from the machine room.

While the Apollo e2m is optimized to deliver zero-latency cue mixing when paired with a host Apollo x16D network setup, its standalone versatility allows it to function as a high-fidelity stereo headphone hub and line interface across any standard Dante audio ecosystem. It seamlessly receives digital network feeds while simultaneously acting as a local line-level injection or breakout point. Housed in a heavy-duty, compact enclosure, the e2m features a built-in 5/8" threaded socket for immediate mic-stand mounting, giving performers easy access to local volume controls without cluttering the performance space.

Flexible Input/Output Breakout Capabilities:

Beyond its stellar headphone output, the e2m acts as a versatile stereo line interface. It features balanced analog line inputs and outputs, allowing it to function as a localized network node. Performers can feed a local stereo playback source (like a keyboard, backing track rig, or click track) straight into the Dante network, or route the balanced line outputs into active stage wedges, localized studio monitors, or an external personal mixer. The intelligent internal converters ensure maximum headroom and signal parity across all conversion points.

Operating entirely on standard PoE (802.3af), it draws minimal power from network switches, keeping cabling minimal and organized. The top panel features a large, precision-weighted volume encoder for fast level adjustments, along with bright LED status indicators for power, network sync, and signal clipping. For multi-musician configurations, each unit includes a custom coupling bracket, letting you lock the e2m side-by-side with other Apollo network endpoints (like the e1x preamp) on a single rack tray or stand adapter.
