Flax Sandwich Cone for Neutrality:

Handcrafted in France, the Focal Shape 65 uses a Flax sandwich cone—a layer of high-quality flax fiber between two thin layers of glass fiber. This material is twice as light as glass fiber and provides the rigidity and damping required for a neutral sound with very low coloration. This results in an incredibly detailed midrange and a tight, rhythmic bass response.

Advanced "M"-Profile Tweeter:

The monitor features an "M"-shaped inverted dome tweeter made of an Aluminum-Magnesium alloy. This profile provides very low directivity, allowing for a wider sweet spot and more flexibility in your seating position. The specialized Poron® suspension reduces distortion in the critical 2kHz to 3kHz range, ensuring high-frequency information is smooth and non-fatiguing during long sessions.

Passive Radiators and Precision Engineering:

To ensure high-quality bass in smaller rooms, the Shape 65 replaces traditional bass ports with dual 6.5-inch side-firing passive radiators. This design allows the monitor to be placed near walls without the "chuffing" or turbulence associated with ports. Furthermore, N.I.C. (Neutral Inductance Circuit) and TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technologies stabilize the magnetic field and driver surround, significantly reducing harmonic distortion.
