The Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is designed for engineers who want to capture a polished sound from the start. The built-in analog compressors allow you to control peaks and add "glue" to your tracks before they are digitized, saving you time in the mix. Its bidirectional design means you get 8 extra inputs via ADAT Out and 8 extra analog outputs via ADAT In, doubling the utility of your existing interface.

Musical Analog Compression:

Every channel features a dedicated, single-knob soft-knee VCA compressor. This allows for transparent dynamic control that keeps your levels consistent without sucking the life out of your performance. For more aggressive processing, the "More" button doubles the compression ratio (from 2:1 to 4:1), perfect for adding punch to drums or stabilizing a dynamic vocal.

Dual-Path Versatility (AD/DA):

This isn't just a preamp; it's a complete conversion hub. The OctoPre Dynamic features 8 channels of D-A conversion through its ADAT inputs. You can route these to the 8 balanced line outputs to feed an analog console or outboard rack, making it a powerful tool for hybrid mixing setups.

Professional Engineering Standards:

With high-resolution 24-bit conversion and JetPLL™ jitter elimination, your audio stays pristine across the entire digital signal path. The unit also features per-channel 5-segment LED metering and 48V Phantom Power (switchable in two banks of four), giving you the visual feedback and power needed for a professional session.
