The two front-panel inputs are re-designed to handle hot guitar pickups without clipping. For high-volume environments like drum tracking, every channel includes a switchable pad, providing an additional 10dB of headroom to prevent unwanted distortion.

High-Resolution Conversion and Clocking:

Digital clarity is at the core of the OctoPre. Its precision converters deliver a 109dB dynamic range, ensuring your recordings remain transparent and detailed. The unit also features dedicated Word Clock I/O, allowing it to serve as a rock-solid master clock for your studio or to sync perfectly with your existing digital system.

Flexible Output Routing:

Beyond its digital capabilities, the OctoPre is a powerful analog tool. Its eight balanced line outputs are sourced directly from the mic preamps. This allows you to use the unit in a live setting to feed a front-of-house console while simultaneously sending all eight channels via ADAT to your DAW for a pristine multi-track recording.
