Product Overview
The KH 120 II AES67 (505125) represents a massive leap forward in compact monitoring technology. While maintaining the familiar form factor, every internal component has been redesigned. It features a new 5.25" high-precision woofer and a 1" alloy fabric dome tweeter, both powered by ultra-efficient Class-D amplifiers (145W / 100W). The addition of an internal DSP engine allows the monitor to be calibrated to your specific room using the Neumann MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system, ensuring that what you hear is exactly what is on the recording, regardless of your acoustic environment.
Product Description
The Standard for Accuracy, Refined:
The KH 120 II AES67 is engineered for linearity. Its frequency response is exceptionally flat from 44 Hz to 21 kHz, with a remarkably tight tolerance of ±3 dB. This neutral character ensures that your mixes translate perfectly across all playback systems. The Mathematically Modeled Dispersion™ (MMD) waveguide provides a wide horizontal "sweet spot" while minimizing vertical reflections, allowing for consistent sound even if you move along the mixing console.
DSP-Powered Room Alignment:
The "II" generation introduces an internal DSP engine that handles the crossover and phase response with extreme precision. When paired with the Neumann MA 1 (sold separately), the monitor can be automatically calibrated to compensate for room modes and acoustic anomalies. The result is a rock-solid stereo image and a low-end response that is tight, fast, and free from muddy resonances.
Full AES67 Connectivity for Modern Workflows:
The AES67 version is built for the future of audio networking. It features redundant AES67 audio network ports that are fully compliant with broadcast standards such as ST 2110-30 and ST 2022-7. This allows for seamless integration into digital infrastructures where high-fidelity audio is transmitted over standard Ethernet networks. It also retains traditional XLR Analog and S/PDIF Digital inputs for maximum flexibility in any studio or broadcast van.
Efficient Power and Sustainable Design:
The newly developed Class-D amplifiers provide significantly more power while consuming less energy. They offer improved transient response and higher maximum SPL (116.8 dB), allowing the KH 120 II AES67 to handle demanding dynamic material without distortion. Additionally, the monitor features an "Auto Standby" mode to save power when not in use, meeting the latest environmental standards.
