Pure Vintage Vacuum Tube Gain Staging:

The circuit of the SOLO/610 is an uncompromised, discrete all-tube layout utilizing a hand-selected 12AX7 input tube and a 12AT7 output tube, working in tandem with custom-shielded audio transformers. Unlike standard interface preamps that only offer a single gain knob, the SOLO/610 features separate Gain and Level controls.

• The Gain switch adjusts the internal tube input drive in steps, allowing you to run it low for crystalline, high-fidelity tracking, or push it hard to generate musical second-order harmonic distortion.

• The Level pot acts as a master volume stage, letting you trim or boost the final output signal before it hits your audio interface or PA system.

This dual-knob configuration gives you full creative control over how much "tube coloration" you want to introduce—ranging from clean and transparent to thick, warm, and aggressively overdriven.

To ensure a perfect tonal match with various sources, it includes dual variable impedance selectors ($500\text{ }\Omega$ or $2.0\text{ k}\Omega$ for microphones; $47\text{ k}\Omega$ or $2.2\text{ M}\Omega$ for instruments), allowing you to open up the top-end of dynamic/ribbon mics or perfectly load passive guitar pickups.
