Standard compressors and gates rely heavily on input thresholds, meaning quiet transients go completely untouched while loud signals get over-compressed. The Transient Designer 4 Mk2 bypasses this issue entirely using Differential Envelope Technology (DET). Its internal envelope trackers automatically adapt, optimizing time constants in real time to match the natural characteristics of the input signal.
