The Neumann KK 120 NX is a specialized, bi-directional component of the KM A/D modular system. This capsule is a pressure gradient transducer that utilizes a single 16 mm diaphragm to achieve its figure-8 characteristic. Because all sound field components reach the diaphragm directly from the front and rear, the frequency response and sensitivity at $0^{\circ}$ and $180^{\circ}$ are identical. The "NX" suffix denotes the Nextel Black finish—a specialized, non-reflective matte coating that is highly durable and ideal for use under bright studio or stage lights.
