Titanium Technology & The M 50 Legacy:

The KK 133 nx is built with an ultra-thin titanium diaphragm, a material chosen for its incredible stiffness and immunity to environmental factors like humidity. This results in an incredibly fast and accurate transient response. Based on the same principles as the legendary M 50 and M 150 Tube microphones, this capsule provides a "reach" and spatial depth that is unique among small-diaphragm condensers.

The Power of the Sound Diffraction Sphere:

Each KK 133 nx comes with a detachable 40 mm sound diffraction sphere. When mounted, this sphere acoustically alters the microphone's behavior: it maintains a perfect, non-proximity-effect bass response down to 20 Hz, while gradually increasing directivity in the higher frequencies. This "narrowing" of the pickup pattern at high frequencies allows for precise instrument localization within a large orchestral soundstage.

Diffuse-Field Equalization for Orchestral Brilliance:

Specifically tuned for distant miking, the KK 133 nx is diffuse-field equalized. This provides a natural, linear frequency response in reverberant spaces. When used in a free-field (direct) environment, it provides a gentle 4–5 dB boost at 12 kHz, adding a professional "shimmer" and clarity that ensures soloists and ensembles cut through the mix with life-like presence.

Modular Nextel Black Design:

As part of the KM A/D ecosystem, the capsule is passive and compatible with both the KM A nx (Analog) and KM D nx (Digital) output stages. The non-reflective finish is essential for modern film sets and TV studios to prevent glare from high-intensity lighting. Additionally, the modular design allows the capsule to be mounted on extension cables up to 100 meters away for nearly invisible overhead placement.
